McConaughey’s Middle Ground Myth… Apathy Isn’t Patriotism

Matthew McConaughey’s take on independent voters is completely wrong. In my view, he’s playing the sympathy card, dressing up political indecision as some badge of intellectual superiority.

Give me a break. You don’t get a medal for being unable to make up your mind.

Today on Stinchfield, we expose the independent trap. Calling yourself independent doesn’t make you smarter than everyone who picked a side. Sometimes it means you haven’t done the homework. Sometimes it means you lack the backbone to defend your beliefs. And sometimes you simply don’t care.

None of those deserves applause.

Want credit for thinking for yourself? Tell me what you believe. Defend it. Vote for it. Spare me the smug suggestion that everyone with convictions is a sheep while your indecision makes you a genius.

Two parties. Two starkly different directions for America. What exactly are you still waiting to figure out?

You don’t owe a political party your loyalty. You owe your country enough attention to make a decision and enough courage to own it.

America’s future isn’t a spectator sport. Get informed. Pick a side. Take responsibility.

Waffling isn’t wisdom. Apathy isn’t patriotism. And refusing to take a stand is nothing to brag about.
