Mike Lindell just dropped a bombshell on conservatives everywhere, and I can’t believe what I’m hearing.
He’s now calling for what amounts to amnesty, proposing a six month pause on deportations in Minnesota so illegal immigrants can register for a work visa.
There’s just one problem. Minnesota has no authority to create a program like that. Immigration and work visas are controlled by the federal government, and there’s virtually no chance President Trump would ever agree to it.
This looks less like serious policy and more like an attempt to pander to Democrats in a purple state. That’s a losing strategy. Republicans don’t win by adopting Democrat talking points. They win by standing firmly on conservative principles, especially on border security and immigration.
If this is really the direction Lindell wants to take, conservatives deserve some answers.
