It’s ironic that liberal Hispanics continue to be the main critics of
Texas’s Voter ID law (notice I said liberal, many conservative
Hispanics do support it.) It turns out, Mexico is home to some of the
strictest voter ID laws in the world. Every Mexican citizen who wants
to vote must have a voter registration card. And guess what? That
card also has the person’s photo on it.

In fact, most Mexicans use their Photo Voter registration card as their
main form of identification. Do you think it hurts voter turn out?
The answer is NO! Mexican turn out for national elections is routinely
over 65%. To be a functioning member of society you need a photo ID,
no ifs, ands or buts about it!
