Don’t blame George Bush for the financial meltdown of 2008 and the great recession that followed, blame liberal activism and crony capitalism. A dysfunctional, spend happy Congress also added to our financial woes. As Perry Smith points out, our nation has a long history of bad policy making”

“I have developed a timeline of the events and the players that brought us to the brink of financial and economic disaster here in America threatening our liberty and our continued existence as a republic. Democrats and Republicans are both to blame; however, as you will come to realize the liberal wing of the Democratic Party, combative community activists, left leaning economists, Wall Street, financial Rating Agencies, and the Liberal Main Steam Media share the brunt of the blame.”

– Perry Smith

The liberal media wants you to believe that EVERY Newtown parent wants more gun control. That is a fallacy. Bias comes in all forms, from twisting the truth to simply telling half the story. When the main stream media refuses to cover an important voice just because it doesn’t want you to hear that voice, it not only does a disservice to society, but it further disintegrates the dwindling faith we had left in the major networks and newspapers.

Mark Mattioli lost his 6 year old son James at Sandy Hook. The liberal media doesn’t want you to know that Mattioli firmly believes more gun laws will NOT make us any safer. I agree with him. By failing to adequately give Mattioli air-time on the evening news, viewers are not getting the full picture. As a former reporter, my goal was always to tell both sides of the story so the viewer could decide what is right and wrong. In most cases, I didn’t agree with one side of the story, but that never stopped me from telling it. It appears to me, more and more media outlets want to decide what is right for YOU, instead of letting YOU decide for yourself. That notion is at the heart of the progressive movement, “we know what’s best for you better than you do.”

We see that same level of contempt for the public at all levels of government. Mark Mattioli deserves to be heard, because his opinions count.

Don’t get to upset about Jim Carrey’s war on gun ownership. He may insult gun owners everywhere with his ridiculous parody, but just remember who he is and where he comes from. Carrey is a millionaire entertainer who is out of touch with America. A Hollywood liberal who has no concept of why we hold the 2nd Amendment so dear.

So, I’m not angry at him, like so many conservative pundits are, he’s just doing what Jim Carrey does best, act like a fool. It’s like getting mad at a lion for attacking his handler, it’s all a lion knows. So instead of calling Carrey names, I wanted you to see the video Reason TV produced to mock Carrey. It does a much better job than any conservative angry pundit can.

And here is the original Charlton Heston Speech in 2000 at the NRA Convention, “Cold Dead Hands.”

And just in case you really wanted to see Carrey’s idiocracy, here it is:

If a home invader comes calling… scream, shout and make noise. That from numerous North East police officers responding the question, “what should I do if I’m the victim on a home invasion?” One officer even recommended holding a cell phone to your ear to scare your attacher away.

Project Veritas went undercover to numerous police stations and not one officer recommended you protect yourself with a gun.

Feel free to listen to my take on officers response, or lack of, during the 2nd segment of The Stinchfield Report (3-9-13). The bottom line is, the use of a firearm is the only real way to protect yourself from evil doers out to do you and your family harm. To quote the movie “The Untouchables,” it doesn’t do any good to “bring a knife to a gun fight.”

Fast Forward to 5:40 in the Video Above to See Jim Forman’s Report. The Picture above is NOT Jim Forman

On Saturday’s Stinchfield Report on 570 KLIF, I took Seattle’s NBC affiliate to task for a very biased report on the gun debate in Oak Harbor Washington. You can hear my breakdown of King 5 Reporter Jim Forman’s story here.

TSR 03-02-13 Seg 1

You may remember when I first reported on the Oak Harbor controversy. The tiny Washington city banned concealed handgun license holders from carrying their weapons in city parks, even though the ordinance was a violation of Washington State law. City Councilman Rick Almberg made the ridiculous motion to have all CHL holders check their guns with police inside council chambers when a wounded Army vet spoke against the gun ban in parks. That motion was NOT passed.

Last week, the city overturned the gun ban in parks, but according to Jim Forman’s report on KING5 News, it had nothing to do with public outrage and only a city council that “Gave in to the gun lobby’s interest.” Forman made no mention of the dozens of city residents who called for the councilman’s resignation. He than ended his piece by saying, “as of tonight, it’s now legal to carry your guns in the playgrounds and parks of Oak Harbor.”

I explain why that statement alone is irresponsible and typical of the liberal media’s bias and penchant for exaggeration.

Please feel free to email Jim Forman at: JForman@king5.com

In 10 months, the Crystal Charity Ball ladies will once again stage one of country’s most successful fundraising events for children. In between now and that first.

Saturday night in December, the gals will be working like accountants on April 14. The reason for all this activity is simple — eight children’s charities that were just revealed moments ago by CCB Chair Caren Kline and Underwriting Chair Pam Perella.

Drum roll, please.

The 2013 CCB beneficiaries are:

Educational First Steps (Four Steps To Excellence 2.0) — $430,000

Good Street Learning Center, Inc. (Operation Next Steps: Program & Facility Improvements) — $458,988

NETWORK of Community Ministries, Inc. (Children of Grandfamilies Initiative) — $508,989

New Friends New Life (Trafficking Prevention & Sexual Abuse Recovery Program) — $525,000
