I have a simple and very viable energy policy aimed at drastically increasing our domestic production:

1. Put a moratorium on all new and expanded layers of regulation.
2. Stop frivolous law suits by so called “environmentalists.” Those lawsuits can tie up drilling projects for years.
3. The government needs to stop restricting access to drillers and concentrate on opening up access. That includes drilling in small portions of the arctic national wildlife refuge as well as speeding up permits for off shore exploration.

We must make it easier for the independent oil companies to seek out new opportunities, We can not solely rely on “Big Oil.” America’s over burdensome regulations is what causes our dependence on foreign oil, NOT a lack of the commodity here at home.
